Utilizing LinkedIn is a great way to connect with people who work within the career field that you're interested in. I always recommend doing research on various companies and then reaching out to employees at the companies you're most passionate about. I would explain what drew you to the company and the career field when making that initial connection.

Great question! LinkedIn has made it very easy to connect with not only people who work in your field but also gives you the ability to join groups within your profession/industry. This is a great way to network with established professionals and also keep you in the know when it comes to information regarding your field. You can also follow certain companies that interest you and seek out people who are connected with that company and/or group to spark an initial introduction. I would always keep an eye out for organizations outside of LinkedIn and attend networking events that are in you area. Hope this helps!

The first place I would recommend looking to is LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a great tool to use for networking and chances are you may have someone in your network who works with or knows someone who works within a career you are wanting to pursue. Therefore, they can help you start making connections with the right people. If you are enrolled in an institution, career services is also a great place to look to and they will be able to assist you in making those connections as well.
Hope this helps!
