There is nothing wrong with going back to the same office, but I would recommend choosing to work in a different office for the 2nd summer for the reasons you state and more. Change is more constant than ever in today's world, the greater variety of experiences you obtain, the more prepared you will be able to deal with the inevitable change that will occur and the better prepared you will be to look at things from a more diverse perspective. Change/variety/diversity is very, very good, particularly so early in your career.

Hi! Change can be a very good thing! Going back to the same, or a similar, office is not a bad thing. You have the ability to expand upon what you have already learned or really hone in on something that interests you. However, it can be extremely beneficial to try something new as well. Choosing to work in a different office does show that you are flexible and able to adapt to a variety of settings. It also could broaden your knowledge and expose you to areas of work that you had not yet had access to. You never know what you could discover as a new area of interest or even something you are passionate about that could alter your career path going forward. Additionally, if you decide to go back to a setting similar to the first office, you would then have the experience of both to help you grow as an individual and gain an increased perspective for the company as a whole. I hope this helps!
