When starting your internship search, it's a good idea to take a look at what industries or companies you have interest in. I would recommend taking a look at their websites and trying to learn what makes their internship program unique. This should also provide you with an idea as to when these companies are looking to fill internship positions. Another avenue you could explore is your career services at your university. Your career services staff should be aware what companies are coming to campus when and what opportunities these companies have for their students. Career Services may be able to get you in contact with someone from the company or let you know when they will be coming to campus. Attending Information Sessions that companies have on campus is a great way to learn more about the organization and start to build a network with those representatives from the company. Finally, I would recommend attending any career fair your school may have. Make sure you do your research before talking to your top companies to ensure you are prepared and ready to get that internship! Good luck!

The Career Center at your school is a great resource to help with your internship search. For most colleges and universities, the Career Center will know which companies recruit on campus and the types of positions they offer. Your school job board will often have these opportunities posted as well. In addition, take advantage of career fairs at your school. This is a great way to meet with several employers to understand the opportunities they offer. Lastly, if there is a specific industry or company you are interested in, search online. You can look directly on the company website or use a job search engine.
