Should I use my university email when emailing recruiters or is my personal email account sufficient? What if I don’t have a university email account?

I would recommend using whichever email you check more frequently! In my opinion, it doesn't matter if it's your email through school or personal, the important thing is that they can reach you. Make sure that your personal email is a professional address preferably containing your name. If your personal email is not professional or not the ideal address, then I would recommend using the email provided to you from your school. Finally, if you don't have a university email account the most important thing is that the recruiter can get in contact with you so I would not worry about it being connected to your university.

I personally don't think it matters which email account you use, as long as your email address is professional. Meaning, if it's a personal email account then it should be your name and not a nickname or anything inappropriate. You should also ensure the email you list on your resume or on an application is one that you check frequently. I don't think it matters to most recruiters if you use a personal or school account, as long as it's a professional email address and they can contact you.
