I have switched majors three times in the last seven years and finally have an Associate's Degree in Accounting. I want to look for a job in the accounting field but I might want to go back to college to get a bachelor's degree. Hopefully, I can get a job like an accounts payable clerk or accounting assistant and just work for a little while. What are my options?

You could always look for a full time job in the accounting field and take night classes to finish out your degree. This way you are gaining field experience while obtaining your bachelor’s degree. Also, I would recommend looking into companies that offer a tuition assistance program.

You may want to weigh your options prior to accepting a part-time or full-time position in your field of interest. If you are set on going back to school for a Bachelor’s degree then you may want to consider an internship so you can focus on school full-time and complete your degree faster. You would be able to gain experience in your field through an internship and many companies do offer paid internships while you are in school. If you decide to take the path of obtaining a job in your field then you will want to be sure you’ll have a good balance to be able to complete school in addition to your job responsibilities when you decide to go back. A lot of companies are very supportive of this and you would be able to take evening classes or online classes. You would also want to explore companies that offer tuition assistance or reimbursement.

I would recommend looking for internship opportunities while earning your Bachelor's degree. This will give you the time you need to focus on your studies while at the same time gaining real word experience.
