Great question and one that I think a lot of people wonder about. Unfortunately, it isn't a one size fits all answer. Are you asking because you aren't getting responses from resumes that you have sent out or do you not feel like your resume is the best it can be? Sometimes we can be our own worst critic, so I would recommend some other options before hiring a professional resume writing service. First off, there are many options available online that you can use for free. You can google "resume help" and many options come up that you can review. You can look at sample resumes for individuals with similar experience or goals and see how yours stacks against them. You can also make sure that you use power words on your resume to attract recruiters who may be searching by certain words. Once you have a rough draft together, run it by people whose opinion you trust and that way you may see things from another person's perspective. If you are currently in school, you should have a Career Services Center which would be able to help you put a resume together. If, after doing all of the above, you still feel like you want to use a professional service, you will need to check them out and see if you can find reviews on them. There are many services out there at various price levels so make sure you know what you are dealing with and what to expect. Good luck!
