Is it a bad idea to leave a note on my job application informing my potential employer about the best days to contact me for an interview?

Great question! I would not put the best times to reach you on your job application. You may run the risk of sounding high-maintenance. My recommendation is to make sure that your phone number and email address are clearly labeled; If they call your great, if not, on to the next.
I wish you all the best in your search!

Good question! Within your job application, I would recommend one to list the best way to contact them and the days/times one is available to speak with. This way the company knows your availability and can plan accordingly. However, don’t assume they are calling to schedule an interview. Some companies may want to speak with an applicant briefly with questions regarding their resume, skill set, etc.

Hi there - Did the application specifically ask you to note the best days to contact you?  If not, then why add a layer of complication for a recruiter or hiring manager?  Answer the questions being asked of you and make it easy to leave a message via phone or email.  If a recruiter wants to invite you in for an interview they will ask you for your availability.  When that time comes, let them know you are excited to interview and that you want to manage your priorities appropriately which also means working with your existing schedule.  Good communication skills are likely something they are looking for too, so perhaps you could look at this initial scheduling as a good opportunity for you to demonstrate yours!  Best of luck!
