Your passion, your calling, your aha moment that sets you off on your path to your life? That's something worth looking for! I have some ideas for how to find it. Try things. Lots of things. Things that make you feel stretched and scared, things that are comfortable and cozy, things that are hard and easy. Pay attention to how these experiences make you feel. Do you feel alive? Bored? Determined? Energized? Are the things you're doing worthwhile? Good for your community, the world, people you know, your wallet (hey, it's a worthwhile question).
Now, does your passion have to be a job? I love the ballet, but I have two left feet, so though I feel passionately about it, it will never be my career. Man was that a hard lesson to learn as an 8 year old ballerina. So I figured out ways to stay involved in the thing that made me happy, alive, energized. This love has stuck with me for the long run...I'm talking like 30 years of love. What have you enjoyed for a continuous span of time?
Talk to the people who know you. What do they see as your strengths and areas of promise? Do they see something in you that you can't see?
Talk to a professional. Career counseling is a real thing. Go check it out.
So many questions to think about, but let's face it, passion is a big one. It would be easier for me to tell you how to find Atlantis than it is to lay our a clear path to your passion. But it is so worth the search. You've got this.
