I need to find a paid internship. Any suggestions on how I can find paid internships?

Hello,

It's great that you are seeking work experience and researching your options! As for internships, here are a couple of options to consider:

1.) Speak to your career services department on upcoming company workshops, information sessions, and career fairs-these events are all great ways to find out about paid opportunities.

2.) Look through your universitiy's careers page on paid internships. Employers often will post internships to individual schools.

3.) Online career posting tools such as indeed.com, jobbing.com, LinkedIn, and others that are similar are great ways to research potential opportunities

4.) Visit the careers page of all the companies you're interested in working for and research their internship opportunities

Hope this information is helpful and best of luck!

Usualls paid internships fill up  fast, so you will want to search for those during main recruiting times (fall and spring). If you are in college, most employers post their positions on the school's job postings page and will list whether the internship is paid or not.

There are multiple ways in which you can locate a piad internship.  First, participate in any on campus career fairs that your college conducts.  There are usually career fairs in both the fall and spring semesters.  At some schools, there are career fairs specifically dedicated to internships.  Attend these fairs and interact with the reps from those companies that you are targeting.
Second, search for internet job postings for internships.  There are multiple sites at which these can be posted, but the most effective way is to use a job board aggregator such as indeed.com or simlyhired.com.  These sites 'scrape' other sites on the internet for job postings and provide you links to the postings that are of interest to you.
You can also seek out internship opportunities by building your professional network.  This is important when looking for a permanent position, so it is a good idea to start this now.  Go out to LinkedIn and search for people in the field in which you are interested at the companies that you are targeting.  Attempt to connect with them through LinkedIn and when this happens, reach out to them and inquire about internship opportunities at their organization.  Networking takes time and patience on your part, but if done well, will pay off nicely for you.

Hey there!

I think you should check your college career website to find opportunities. There are career websites like "Indeed" that could also help! I think it will also help you to attend career fairs on campus to network with the different companies that come to find interns. My advice would be to obtain a list of employers attending, do some research about some of the ones you might be interested and go have a conversation with some of their representatives - this will help you not only find more LinkedIn connections but you may even find someone who might be looking for a candidate like you! Good luck :)
