I am a bachelors in Mechanical engineering, I have an opportunity to join a company as a Design Engineer. They are sponsoring my training in Spain for 5 months. My question is whether I should join the company or pursue my masters?

Good morning!
Congratulations on your job offer with that company as a Design Engineer. I would suggest you first look into that company's tuition reimbursement program to see if you can be reimbursed later in your career if you decide to go back for a master’s program. Good luck in your career!

Hi there!

If you believe that this opportunity is a great one to pass up, then I would absolutely take it. If I were in this position, where I got a secure job opportunity to travel for training, I would hold off on getting my master's. I say this because many times i have received advice about only getting my master's degree if it is going to help me at that moment in my life. If you are not working, or have never gained experience in your field, now is the best time do so by accepting that offer. You can always go back and get your masters after you gain more experience down the line, and only if it will help you become a manager, or something of higher level than you are. I hope this helps you. Good luck with the decision you end up making :)

Hello,
Congrats on the job offer. The question of pursuing a masters or hopping into a career is one that I hear often. My recommendation would be to take the job opportunity, however, before doing so, I would check the reputation of the company to make sure that they are ethical and in alignment with your expectations.  I would also check on their tuition reimbursement; an education is something that you can pursue at any point in your life. I would go for the real world experience and if you feel that you need a higher education later, go back to school at that point.
Best of luck!
