I would like to search for jobs that require a written skills exam (e.g literacy, math, IQ) and use this as a primary criterion in the hiring decision. How can I do this kind of job search? Are there job search engines, placement programs, or other resources that specialize in this or at least have it as an option? My job center told me that they did not know how one could do this.

I am not aware of any way to search for this specifically, the screening process you describe is rarely put in a job description, so you don't have anything to search for.  I'm sure there are more opportunities than this, but from my experience, I've found that jobs in the public sector (federal, state, local government related - often referred to as civil service jobs) tend to use testing as a key criterion, but often will still require an interview process.

Hi there! This is a tough question as I think your career center is right, I am unfamiliar with any resources or ways where you can see if there are any sort of assessments that are part of the interviewing process. In addition to the areas that Tom mentioned in his answer, I would also recommend perhaps roles that are client-facing or customer service oriented as well as they also tend to have assessments. Best of luck!
