I get along with my coworkers fine, but I feel like I'm not making any meaningful connections. How do I change this?

This is a great question. I would suggest that when you meet someone, you ask if it's ok for you to put 15 minutes on their calendar to get to know them and their role a bit better. You can also suggest grabbing lunch with someone when you meet them. You just have to step out of your comfort zone and see who open to networking.

I agree with Ashlyn that some great ways to make connections include putting time on peoples calendars to discuss their role and asking individuals to grab lunch with you. Another other way you can build connections is by getting involved in any workplace committee. Some organizations have committees who plan both volunteer and social events for everyone to in the organization to attend. Also, make sure to attend those optional events if they take place at your company! It's another great way to meet people outside of your team and function.
