Hi there! Good question! As you start the interview process for marketing roles you’ll want to tailor your resume to the role. At an actual interview, you’ll want to highlight any relevant marketing jobs/internships you have completed. I also like recommending students talk about any relevant class projects they have worked on, especially if they don’t have too much relevant work experience. Finally, if you have any other leadership experience with student organizations or perhaps a part-time job in retail or food & beverage, talk about this too! I find that students sometimes completely dismiss experience like this because they think it doesn’t count, but that’s not true at all! You’re still developing and honing your soft skills and these skills can transfer to any job so it’s always worth talking about! Hope this helps!!
