So, I am a fresher with an MBA (will complete in May 2019). I don't know, what Industry or company or job profile I should apply for. I want to know the process to know what I will be able to do best. I did marketing course (Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Services Marketing, etc.) for I they were interesting and I enjoy learning. But, how to know what industry will be best for me?

Good question!  Start reading through job descriptions and research companies to see if the industry is of interest to you.  By doing that, you should be able to narrow down the scope of the role and industry.  Another good idea is to think of the products the companies make...do they align with your interests and hobbies?  As a recruiter I always ask the question "why did you apply for this job" to the individuals I am interviewing, you should be able to give a solid reason why you are interested in the role you applied for.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation and completing your MBA! To figure out the best fit for you, you need to do some research and searching to determine what interests you most. If you are interested in marketing, you can do this in almost any industry so you need to decide what sparks passion for you. Do you prefer B2B or B2C marketing? Do you want to work for a company with their own internal marketing team, an ad agency, firm, consulting, etc.? Have you had an internship? If so, think about what you enjoyed or didn't enjoy about that job. I think the best place to start is thinking through the above questions. Also, do an online search for marketing jobs to see which descriptions stick out to you most. Your career center can also assist. They should be able to tell you which companies typically recruit at your school and may be able to provide a list of industries you haven't thought of yet.

Hi there! You're almost to graduation, congratulations! I think a good starting point for you would be to reach out to your Career Services department at your school. They should be able to help you find a career path that’s right for you! Most schools are able to use post graduate data to give you an idea of where students in your degree chose to work after graduating and the positions they were hired for. This might help you understand what some of your options are.

If you do think you are interested in marketing, LinkedIn would be a good tool for you to use. You can search on LinkedIn and find others that chose a marketing career path. Connect and network with those people to see what their day to day job is like and that might help you find out if you would be interested. Good luck with the search!
