Great question, as you certainly want to be prepared, but unfortunately, I don’t think there is an average as every company is free to tailor the interview process as they see fit. For example, I have interviewed with firms in the past that have phone interviewed me first, then asked me for an in person, then asked me back to meet with a larger team panel style, then asked me back for a shadow day, and then a final interview with leadership before my hiring. A bit much huh? At the firm I represent currently, we interview campus candidates for entry level twice – the first being a behavioral interview and the second being a combination of a case and behavioral interview. My best advice to you is to reach out and ask!
